The Other Therapy Our Story
The Other Therapy & Trevor Brown
The Other Therapy was founded in 2020 by Trevor Brown, a
Licensed Professional Counsellor with a deep understanding of
the unique mental and emotional challenges faced by
individuals living unconventional, internationally-based
lives.
Trevor’s personal experiences of living abroad illuminated the
need for psychotherapy that specifically addresses the
complexities of cross-cultural living, remote work, and the
isolation that can often accompany such lifestyles.
Trevor’s mission was clear: to extend the high-quality
psychotherapy services he honed in Colorado, USA, to those
navigating the global stage.
Since its establishment, The Other Therapy has forged meaningful connections with clients spanning the globe. We specialize in providing support to expatriates, remote workers, NGO workers, digital nomads, intercultural marriages and mixed-race families. We recognize the unique dynamics and considerations that come with appropriately attuning to such diverse backgrounds.

Why Trevor Founded The Other Therapy (ToT)
Trevor’s journey to founding The Other Therapy began with a simple belief: Everyone deserves access to therapy that truly understands their unique needs. After years of working in traditional therapy settings, Trevor noticed a profound lack of mental health services for Expats and Digital Nomads. People in these positions either lacked access to therapy and coaching services, or the access that they did have was not sufficient. With The Other Therapy, Trevor set out to bring high quality therapy to individuals living beyond the borders of their home country. At The Other Therapy, we emphasize:
Personalization
Tailored therapy that addresses and understands your unique story, unconventional lifestyle, challenges, and goals.
Innovation
Evidence-based techniques combined with creative, forward-thinking approaches.
Accessibility
Easy-to-access remote therapy services that can accomodate your mobile, international lifestyle.
